Tennessee Representative John Rose's speech on the House floor was upstaged by his six-year-old son, Guy Rose, who made funny faces at the camera during his father's address. The congressman was speaking about the recent conviction of former President Donald Trump when his son began to draw attention with his antics.

Guy, who had just graduated from kindergarten, was sitting behind his father during the speech. He initially smiled at the camera, then began to make a series of silly faces and hand gestures, seemingly unimpressed with the proceedings of the House of Representatives.

The young Rose's antics quickly caught the attention of viewers, and he became a social media sensation. Doug Andres, the spokesman for Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell, tweeted a captioned image of Guy, suggesting the boy "knows something."

Despite the distraction, Rep. Rose continued his speech, criticizing what he called the "weaponization of our justice system." After the speech, he took the incident in stride, joking on social media, "This is what I get for telling my son Guy to smile at the camera for his little brother."
