A North Carolina man faces animal cruelty charges for alleged abandoning his pet fish. Officials say 53-year-old Michael Ray Hinson left his Oscar fish at the home he was evicted from last month in New Hanover County. They say the malnourished fish was swimming in a filthy tank. It is now receiving treatment for its "hole in head" syndrome, an effect of poor water quality and a lack of food. Hinson was released on $4,000 bond.
