Today on SOTD, a little history....on this date in 1953, an 18 year old truck driver from Memphis paid $3.98 to record 2 songs at a 'Vanity' recording studio....Basically, a place anyone could come in, pay their 4 bucks and record.....this kid recorded two as a present for his mother...one was 'My Happiness', the other was this exact recording....that kid was Elvis Presley....
