Oscar winning director and winemaker Francis Ford Coppola is now directing a new cannabis business. Coppola has just signed a licensing deal with a Humboldt County marijuana farming operation to produce three cannabis flower strains for what he's calling The Growers Series, a "cannabis lifestyle brand". The business is separate from his Sonoma County-based Family Coppola wine brands, but the containers will be packaged in a bottle-shaped tin. In a statement, Coppola says "wine and cannabis are two ancient and bounteous gifts of Mother Nature, linked by great care, terroir and temperateness".
