Country singer John Rich is tearing into Nike and his soundman is tearing up his Nike socks over the shoemaker's new ad campaign with Colin Kaepernick. The Big & Rich singer blasted Nike in a series of tweets yesterday. One included a photo of his soundman holding the cut-off tops of his Nike socks, showing the world-famous swoosh logo. Nike's new ad shows a close-up of Kaepernick's face and the words, "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything."
The former 49ers quarterback hasn't played since the 2016 season. That's when he began sitting then kneeling during the national anthem to protest police brutality and mistreatment of minorities. Kaepernick is suing the NFL, claiming the league and teams conspired to keep him from signing with any team.
