Rand Paul Files Civil Suit Against Neighbor

Senator Rand Paul is filing a civil suit against his neighbor who assaulted him.  The Kentucky Republican filed the complaint last Friday and is seeking compensatory and punitive damages from his neighbor Renee Boucher.  Paul says Boucher caused him "physical pain and mental suffering" from the assault that took place last November.  The lawsuit accuses Boucher of depriving Paul of "his enjoyment of life."  Paul is also seeking to prevent Boucher from contacting his family.  The Senator suffered multiple broken ribs from the assault when Boucher tackled him in his front yard.  Boucher says he was upset about Paul stacking yard debris on a shared property line.  Boucher pleaded guilty to assaulting a member of Congress and was sentenced to 30 days in jail and a $10,000 fine.
