Bengals steamroll Cardinals 37-14

Bengals 37 Cardinals 14  

The Bengals (6-10) scored a touchdown on their opening drive and kept pedal to the metal in winning back-to-back games. The Cardinals (2-14) dropped their eighth straight. 

Flow: 7-0 1st, 13-0 2nd, 13-7, 16-7, 23-7 half, 30-7 3rd, 37-7 3rd. 37-14 in 4th 

Offense: 29 first downs, 429 yards, 40+ T.O.P…..82 points last 2 weeks. Red zone: 5 for 5, 5 TD. Opening drive TD: 12 plays, 72 yards, 5:43. Lots of screen passes. Overall, 11 different caught passes. 

Burrow: 24-31-305, 2 TD, 3 sacks. B-B games w/ completions to 9 different. Day over with 12:06 left. 28th 300-yard passing game ties Andy Dalton for franchise record. Under center a lot. Cadence drew offsides. 154 career TD, tied w/ Carson Palmer 3rd franchise history. Processing: 49-63 (77.8), 614 yards, 6 TD, 0 INT, 139.0. Completed all 19 of his passes when not pressured for 203 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Brown: 22-101, 2 TD, 3-40 including 19-yard swing pass. 5 TD the last 2 weeks. 10 TD total. Total yards: 141 

Chase: 7-60, 2 TD. 1st TD catch since October 16th/TNF Steelers.  1st NFL history w/ 80+ catches, 1,000+ yards, 7+ TD each first 5 seasons. 

Higgins: 4-59, 39 yarder 

Perine: rushing TD. What a stone of a blitzer.  

Ford: 21-yard catch on birthday! Chants of “Cody!, Cody!” Lead blocker on Perine TD. Later lined up in I-formation at the goal line. 

Flacco: 3-5-24, 9 yard scramble for 1st down. 

Defense: 

Total yards 233, 13-42 rushing, 4 sacks, 19:04 T.O.P. 3rd down: 3-13. 

Myles Murphy: sack, team leading 5.5   

Dax: Big game with PD, PBUs 

Shemar Stewart: 1st career sack 

TJ Slaton: sack, run stuffs 

Johnson: sack 

Trey McBride: 10-76, TD. New record catches in season by TE (117) 

Missed tackles/poor effort by Geno Stone, Barrett Carter and Jordan Battle on same run = 38 yard TD. Stone might very well be turning in the most embarrassing single season defensive performance by a player in franchise history.
