I really don’t believe what I saw.
Moment of the game: Tied at 20, the Bengals got the ball at their own 14 w/ 5:41 left. After moving to midfield, a Yosi hold, Ford hold and sack forced a 4th & 27 punt from their own 29. Ryan Rehkow's punt was blocked by former Bengal Nick Vigil. But the ball was touched by Dallas and recovered by Maema Njongmeta to keep possession w/ 1:53! Three plays later, Burrow hit Chase on a short pass, he broke a tackle and raced 40 yards for the game-winner with 1:01 left.
The defense then sealed the win.Trey Hendrickson, quiet much of the night, sacked Cooper Rush with :31 left.
Trailed 7-0, 7-7, down 10-7, up 14-10, up 17-10 at half, down 20-17 in 4th, 20-20, 27-20.
The Bengals are now 5-8, and move to 2-7 in one-score games.
Offense: 433 yards…a season high 240 1st half yards.
Burrow: 33-44-369, 3 TD (2 Chase, Brown). INT led to FG. His navigation, creation in/out of the pocket is simply masterful. Took a beating. Blatant facemask call missed in 4th QT. Limped. Put a sleeve on his left knee. Promptly fired dart on run to Chase. Completions to 8 different guys.
Chase: 14-177, 15 TD (career high). 18 targets. 10 in 1st half.
Tee: 2-23 on 5 targets.
Four holding calls: Mims, Ford, Yosi, Volson.
Micah Parsons: 0 sacks
Brown: 14-58 (4.1) and 6 catches for 65 yards, 19-yard TD catch/bolt and jump in the Salvation Army kettle to celebrate. Zac Taylor won a challenge of the spot. Nice blocking Gesicki, Sample. 15 yard catch. At least 100 total yards 3rd game in a row, 4 last 5. .
I almost forgot about Mike Gesicki: 3-24.
