Big one for the UC Bearcats Saturday night in Ames, Iowa for an 8pm kick vs Iowa State. Both teams have dropped two straight. UC needs a win to become bowl eligible. The Bearcats are averaging 438.6 yards per game, the Cyclones 439.6 yards per game.

Ohio State heads to the friendly confines, taking on Northwestern at Wrigley Field. The game will be Ohio State’s fourth consecutive at the noon hour and is part of six consecutive noon broadcasts to close the season. Wrigley Field will be the sixth different MLB stadium to host a Buckeyes football game. They played 11 times – all wins – vs. Minnesota at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome from 1984 through 2005.

Kentucky returns from a bye to host Murray State. The Cats have dropped four straight…but have won 18 in a row vs non conference opponents. Coach Mark Stoops responded to rumors circulating about him potentially stepping down at the end of the season by saying there’s a zero percent chance he’ll do that. UK needs a 3-0 finish to go bowling….that would require wins over Texas and UL.

For the first time in school history, the Louisville Cardinals make the trek West to face Stanford at 3:30 p.m. The Cardinals are playing in California for the fourth time in school history.

Notre Dame welcomes Virginia to South Bend. Notre Dame is one of seven FBS programs ranking in the Top 15 in both scoring offense and scoring defense. That Irish D No. 2 in the country in passing yards allowed per game at 148.6.

Purdue hosts No. 4 Penn State at Ross-Ade Stadium on Senior Day. The Boilermakers have lost eight straight and in a stretch of playing three of four games against teams ranked in the nation's Top 5.

Mt. St. Joe is home to Rose Hulman. The Lions are 7-2 overall, 5-0 in the HCAC. Former Colerain QB Tyler Prather has 26 TD passes this season.

Thomas More travels to travel to Painesville, OH to take on the Lake Erie College Storm.
