Bryan Reynolds clocked a 407-foot 8th inning homer off Nick Martinez to break up a scoreless game and send the Pirates past the Reds. The blast extended his hitting streak to 17 games and decided a good ol' fashioned pitcher's duel. Each team had two hits through the first seven innings.
Hunter Greene certainly deserved better. He dissected the Pirates with a dominant performance into the 7th inning.
The Reds lose the series and fall to 35-39. They have dropped 36 of their last 53 at PNC Park.
