Reds lose, again

From bad to worse.

Kevin Newman lined a bases loaded two-run single off Alexis Diaz with one out in the bottom of the 9th to win it. The Reds had rallied from a 4-3 deficit with two runs in the 8th to take a 5-4 lead.

The Reds have lost 11 of 12 and 14 of 17. They have gone from four games over .500 (14-10) to seven games under .500 (17-24).

Offense: 10 H, 5 BB.......2 hits: India, Candelario, Ford (3B). Seven Reds called a hit, five drew a walk. Back-to-back 10 games. Benson 0 for 3, 3 K, BB.
