Sports Talk Flashback
Former UC and Bengals QB Greg Cook joined guest host Dennis Janson for Sports Talk, November 2, 1984.
Cook was the No. 5 overall pick of the 1969 NFL/AFL Draft. He led the Bengals to three straight wins to start the 1969 season but injured his shoulder in the third game. He would win AFL Rookie of the Year, averaging 17.5 yards per completion, but he never fully recovered from the injury. He would play just one more game following his rookie season. He remains one of the greatest 'what if' stories in Cincinnati sports/NFL history.
Cook passed away on January 27, 2012 at the age of 65.
