Sports Talk Flashback:
Bengals coach Forrest Gregg joined Bob Trumpy in studio before the 1981 NFL Draft.
This is a great listen. Of course this was the draft leading into a season in which the Bengals advanced to their first Super Bowl.
The Bengals had the 10th pick in the 1st round. Gregg talked about WR prospects Cris Collinsworth and David Verser.
The Bengals wound up selecting Verser at No. 10 and Collinsworth in the 2nd round at No. 37.
Gregg talked about the draft process, took a call from a listener that complained about the usage of running back Archie Griffin and a caller that wondered how the team could count on Ken Anderson with his recent injuries? (Anderson would win the MVP in the '81 season)
He was also asked about the possibility of moving training camp out of Wilmington, OH.
