Rise, repeat.....Reds swept by Dodgers, drop 6th straight

Dodgers 9 Reds 1

A week ago Sunday, Hunter Greene won in his big league debut and the Reds split a four game series vs the Atlanta Braves to stand 2-2.

Since then, they lost their home opener, Phil Castellini opened his mouth, the Reds were publicly clowned by the Cincinnati Cyclones and Florence Ya'lls......they never held the lead during the week.....and they've lost six straight. How was your week?

The Reds were swept in a four game series at Dodger Stadium for the first time since 1975. I was eight years old. The Reds stand 2-8.

The offense managed one run, four hits and three walks to go with 15 strikeouts. They have scored 1-2-1-3-3 over their last five games. They have been outscored 43-15 during the losing streak.

Tyler Mahle cruised into the 4th inning and then saw the wheels come off in a seven run inning: 3.2 IN, 7 H, 7 R, 2 BB, 5 K. It was brutal watching him get hammered as David Bell was seemingly content to watch Mahle die on the vine as the Reds bullpen of 11 arms sat and watched. The bullpen didn't stir until it was 5-0 and 8 batters had come to the plate with Mahle recording one out.

Aristides Aquino did it again....another 4 K game.....his 3rd of the season. He's hitting .074 with 18 K in 27 AB. How embarrassing that the Reds don't have a better option, anywhere.

Joey Votto: 0-3, 3 K, hitting .118

Tommy Pham: 0-3 and 1 for 26, .038

Kyle Farmer: H, 2B. Tyler Naquin: H, RBI. Brandon Drury 1-2, 2B, BB. Jake Fraley H, R.

Art Warren: 0.2, 2 H, 2 R, 2 BB

Next: They open a three game series Monday night in San Diego.
