How about his first three seasons in MLB? 

From his 1988 debut, through 1990, he appeared in 179 games with a 1.90 ERA, 336 strikeouts in 256 innings and a record of 19-9. 

The league hit just .186 against him in those three seasons. He had an ERA+ of 199 in that time, striking out 11.8 per 9 innings and striking out 32.9 percent of the batters faced.

Then, in 1991 he had 124 strikeouts in 82.1 innings....that's 13.6 per 9 innings! He followed that with 110 strikeouts in 70 innings in 1992, an incredible 14.1 K/9!

He appeared in seven postseason games in his career: 0.00 ERA, 9.2 IN, 3 H, 0 R, 14 K, 2 BB.
