This date '92: The legend of Favre born vs Bengals

This week '92: A legend is born vs the Bengals

Packers 24 Bengals 23 at Lambeau Field

The Bengals entered the game 2-0 under coach David Shula, while the Packers stood 0-2.

Bengals defensive tackle Tim Krumrie rolled over the ankle of Packers starting QB Don Majkowski, knocking him out of the game in the first quarter.

That brought in a second year QB out of Southern Mississippi by the name of Brett Favre.

The 22-year-old entered the game with 18 career passing attempts.

He proceeded to rally the Packers from a 17-3 third quarter deficit to beat the Bengals 24-23.

The game winning drive started at the Bengals eight yard line with just over one minute remaining.

Favre would complete 22 of 39 passes for 289 yards, 2 TD and 0 INT vs the Bengals. He was sacked five times on the day.

Favre had engineered his first of 30 career fourth quarter comebacks.

The rest, as they say, is history.
