UC opened the Shoemaker Center with a bang. Trailing No. 20 Minnesota with less than :01 remaining, Andre Tate got the ball to walk-on Steve Sanders who sent fans into a frenzy.

No. 4 Cincinnati beats No. 9 Marquette and a guy named Dwyane Wade 63-62.

Donald Little scored 14 points, with 8 rebounds and 6 blocks....and won it with a baseline jumper in the final seconds.

December 1997: Mel goes off!

Melvin Levett scored an arena record 42 points in a 106-54 UC victory over Eastern Kentucky. 

Levett hit a school record 10 three point field goals on 14 attempts.

January 2000: Kenyon's triple-double

AK, Huggs and Senior Night

The Bearcats beat West Virginia on Senior Night for Eric Hicks, with Bob Huggins watching from the stands.

The win appeared to be enough to get UC into the NCAA tournament, only to have the Bearcats stunned by GerryMcNamara and Syracuse in the Big East Tournament and then snubbed by the selection committee.

Bob Huggins returns to The Shoe for the first time as head coach of West Virginia.

Huggs vs The General

Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers rallied to pull away and beat Bob Huggins and UC 81-60. 

1990: Cincinnati vs Eastern Tennessee State

Levertis Robinson scored 30 points, but it wasn't enough as the 19th-ranked Buccaneers beat the Bearcats 90-79 at 5th/3rd Arena. Keith "Mister." Jennings scored 19 points to lead five East Tennessee State players in double figures.

December, 2016: Caupain.....winner!

Troy Caupain beats Marshall in overtime after the Bearcats had trailed by as many as 15 points.

UC trailed 8-0 and 16-2. The Thundering heard bombed away for 14 three-pointers in the first half and shot 17-for-30 for the game.
