2024 Cincinnati Open Semifinals: Sinner vs Zverev

The first spot in the men's final of the 2024 Cincinnati Open was up for grabs as the day session came to a close on Sunday. World number 1 Jannik Sinner, looking to make his first appearance in the Cincinnati final, took on 2021 Cincinnati Open champion Alexander 'Sascha' Zverev.

Fans were treated to an all-out battle between rain delays as the two men split the first two sets, Sinner getting the late break in the 1st set, and Zverev holding on in the long 2nd set tiebreaks. It would all come down to the 3rd set.

Neither man was willing to give an inch as the 3rd set would also go to a tiebreak. Going in both men had won a staggering 117 points each. Sinner would need 7 more to clinch the victory and go on to his 1st Cincinnati Open final.

Jannik Sinner defeats Sascha Zverev 7-6(9), 5-7, 7-6(4)

Sinner will play the winner of the Francis Tiafoe (USA) vs Holger Rune (DEN) match.
