Police Searching For Triple Murder Suspect Last Seen In Arkansas

UPDATE: The suspect was taken into custody, officials said on Thursday. Authorities found Stacy Lee Drake in a wooded area near Morrilton, Arkansas, around 10 a.m. on Thursday (June 20), following a two-day manhunt.

Drake is accused of killing three people in Oklahoma in two separate carjackings. He is also accused of killing an Alcoholics Anonymous volunteer in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, in May.

Authorities are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with at least three homicides and multiple carjackings in Oklahoma. Stacy Lee Drake, 50, was last seen in Morrilton, Arkansas, where he was accused of stealing a vehicle on Tuesday (June 18).

"Drake is wanted in connection with homicides and carjackings in Oklahoma and is wanted on other felony warrants from multiple jurisdictions, with charges including aggravated robbery, carjacking, and murder," the Arkansas Department of Public Safety said in a press release shared on Facebook.

Officials said that Drake purchased camping gear and believe that he may be staying in the area. They warned that he should be considered "armed and dangerous" and asked anybody who sees him to call 911.

"Arkansas State Police urges the public to exercise caution as Drake is believed to be armed and dangerous," the release said. "Anyone who sees Drake should not approach him and should call 911 immediately."
