CEOs You Should Know Featuring JoAnn Reis of OrthoCincy

JoAnn Reis is the CEO of OrthoCincy Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. She started in healthcare working in direct patients care for ten years as a radiology technologist and radiation therapist. While she was working in healthcare, she obtained her MHSA from Xavier University. Following her administrative residency, she worked in medical staff development and practice management at Jewish Hospital. Then she moved into the for-profit sector working for HCA and USPI, managing and developing ambulatory surgery centers and small surgical hospitals in the Midwest. Due to her father developing Parkinson, JoAnn returned home to Cincinnati and went back into practice management.

She has helped changed the face of OrthoCincy into one of the largest independent orthopedic surgery and sports medicine practice in the tristate. In over ten years with OrthoCincy, the practice has grown to more than 45 physicians and 25 mid-levels. They have thirteen office sites which are located in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana. The practice treats thousands of patients annually with musculoskeletal needs. She serves on numerous committees and boards professionally and in the community. JoAnn is a board member with the OrthoForum, Independent Physicians Collaborative and Bayley Place.
