( Moraine, OH ) - A man is dead after he allegedly pointed a gun at two police officers on I-75 Wednesday morning.
The Moraine Police Department says the officers were responding to the scene of a multi-vehicle crash that happened near Dryden Road just after 5:45 a.m. They claim once they were on scene, the came across the unidentified male who was armed with a gun. Officers say he pointed the gun toward them, prompting them to open fire.
First responders began rendering emergency aid and the suspect was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.
No word on any injuries from the accident itself, which left one car on it's top and another in a ditch. Police say investigations of both the wreck and officer involved shooting, are ongoing.
