All that will be left is the aviation business that is based in Evendale.
General Electric's new world headquarters could soon be in Cincinnati because the mega conglomerate of businesses is breaking up. G-E will first spinoff their healthcare division into its own company, then its energy and power business which leaves only the aviation division under the iconic G-E name.
The company CEO says the move is to serve customers better who say they want greater focus and accountability from each of the G-E divisions.
This could have a massive impact on G-E's Global Operations Center at the Banks which was built to consolidate support services for all of G-E businesses.
Stock in G-E is up in pre-market trading on this news. Look for a gain of more than 7 percent when the markets open at 9-30.
