TQL Stadium to Host World Cup Qualifying Match This Fall

( Cincinnati, OH ) - World Cup Soccer is coming to Cincinnati this fall. FC Cincinnati's TQL Stadium will be the site for a qualifying match between the U.S. men's national team and Mexico.

"This is a culmination of years of planning and designing TQL Stadium. Our goal was to build a stadium that's not only home to our FC Cincinnati matches, but also to attract other world class events," FC Cincinnati Owner Carl Lindner 3rd said during at Wednesday's announcement.

Lindner said he's thrilled that Cincinnati was able to secure this match so soon after TQL Stadium opened up.

The United States will play Mexico on Friday, Nov. 12th. Ticket information is not available at this time.

Those teams who qualify for the tournament, will move on to play in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
