(Cincinnati, OH) - Former University of Cincinnati police officer Ray Tensing won't face federal criminal charges for killing Samuel DuBose in 2015.
The U.S. Attorney's Office and the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division announced today they have completed their review of the deadly shooting.
Tensing fatally shot DuBose when he allegedly tried to drive away during a traffic stop. Tensing, who was tried twice for murder, claims he feared for his life.
The jury in each trial was deadlocked.
