Cincinnati Children's Hospital CEO is retiring

(Cincinnati, OH) - Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is the region's biggest hospital and the second largest employer.

And for nearly the past 12 years, Michael Fisher has been the boss.

But Fisher's decided it's time to move on and will retire as president and CEO. Fisher, who is 61, says he'll stay in the job until his successor is chosen and that should be by the end of this year.

Fisher's accomplishments are big. Children's has been ranked in the top 3 in U.S. News & World Report's survey of Best Children's Hospitals for the past decade. And it's also in the middle of its largest expansion ever, and that's opening later this year.
