Hamilton County Prosecutor announces rape case indictment

( Cincinnati, OH ) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters announced the indictment Wednesday of three men on rape and gross sexual imposition charges.

Mark Hammonds (50), Darrell Hammonds (49) and Andre Miller (49) are all facing multiple felony charges.

All of the alleged events happened in the Price Hill home of Mark Hammonds over the course of the last ten years, dating as far back as January 2010. The prosecutor's office says there are three juvenile victims, all known to the defendants through family relationships.

“I am at a loss for words to describe the horrors these children endured. The length of time of the abuse and the fact that three different defendants were involved is staggering to contemplate," Joe Deters said in a statement. "My office will do whatever we can to help the victims through this difficult process. We will prosecute this case vigorously and seek maximum sentences for these defendants to get the victims the justice they deserve.”

If convicted of all counts, all three men face the possibility of life in prison for the rape of a victim under 10 years of age.
