( Cincinnati, Oh ) - Cincinnati Police continue to investigate after three people were found shot to death in Avondale Wednesday morning. It happened at an apartment complex on Irving Street near Forest Ave. The victims have been identified as Darius Parker, 27, Javona Coleman, 30, and Genaro Gray, 31.
Cincinnati Police Lt. Steve Saunders says the bodies were discovered inside an apartment by a group of children.
“It's a very disturbing scene, a very heart-wrenching scene.”
Saunders says it appears the victims had been dead inside the apartment for days prior to this morning's discovery. No word yet on any possible suspects.
The City of Cincinnati is on pace for a record year for homicides. Depending the outcome of this investigation, Cincinnati is now either at or has surpassed the total number of homicides for 2019.
