Kings Island will open to season pass holders on July 2 and general admission on July 12.
Like all other re-openings in Ohio during the COVID-19 pandemic, the amusement park must follow state guidelines to keep employees and visitors safe.
The park has released extended guidelines on what its procedures will be once it opens (PDF of the guidelines can be found here).
-Reservations are required, and visitors are asked to put their masks on after getting out of their car in the parking lot.
-Temperatures will be checked before entering, and if someone in a party has a temperature of 100.4 degrees or more, that party will be asked to reschedule their visit.
-Some seats on rides and attractions will be off limits due to social distancing rules and when purchasing items in the park, cashless payment is encouraged.
-With contact-less entry into the park, at least one person in the party will need the Kings Island mobile app on their smartphone.
