Hamilton and surrounding counties are COVID-19 hot spots requiring testing

Ohio Governor Mike Dewine

CoVid-19 hot spots are worrying Governor Mike Dewine. Today in a news conference, he explained which areas in Southwest Ohio are experiencing community spread and announced pop-up testing sites will be sent to these zip codes in the coming 10 days.

Dewine implored everyone in Ohio to be tested, and most importantly in the hot zip zones.

"You're going to see us move in more heavily (in the hot zip zones) with the National Guard that will be doing testing in different sites," Dewine said, "We're gonna work very closely with the hospitals in the region."

Dewine said the locations for the Hamilton county hot spots, and all the southwest Ohio hot spots, will be announced soon.

Dewine identified hot spots in the counties of Montgomery, Greene, Clark, Warren and Hamilton.

Covid-19 tests are free, and the rules concerning how can be tested were loosened to now include anyone in Ohio who wants a test.
