Protest Over Death of Man in Minnesota Planned for Cincinnati

The death of George Floyd in police custody in Minnesota has triggered demonstrations and rioting in cities across the country. Now, what is being billed as a "peaceful protest" is planned for Cincinnati. Organizers say they will gather Monday at 1pm on the steps of the Hamilton County Courthouse for a kneel-in to show solidarity with the people who have taken to the streets of Minneapolis. For ten minutes, protesters plan to kneel on the ground; the same amount of time they say that a Minneapolis police officer held his knee on the throat of Floyd. An online announcement for the demonstration says "We will be honoring George Floyd and every black life loss at the hands of this corrupt system."
