A judge in Lake County says Dr. Amy Acton violated the constitutional rights of health clubs and gyms by shutting them down and he has granted a preliminary injunction blocking the Department of Health from taking any action against clubs which violate her order. The ruling paves the way for Rock House Fitness to reopen and it allows the club owner to seek damages for the money lost while they were shutdown. This is one of several suits filed across the state challenging the stay home order and is the first that has been successful. It is expected that the state of Ohio will appeal.
