A small aircraft crashed onto NB-75 on Thursday just before noon.
The Beechcraft Bonanza (BE 36) made an emergency landing on the interstate after attempting to land at Lunken Airport.
According to Lt. Steve Saunders of the Cincinnati Police Department, the crash "isn't a very complicated scene" but the highway needs to remain shutdown for a time to allow investigators to document the scene.
The plane landed perpendicular to the north-south direction of the highway, ending up against the concrete wall on the right side of the highway. There are only three lanes and a small shoulder at the location where he landed the aircraft.
Saunders said the pilot was able to bring the plane down safely and there was no damage to vehicles on the interstate.
The plane is registered out of Indianapolis and the pilot is reportedly uninjured.
The National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
