Hamilton County Commissioners are projecting significant tax revenue losses this year due to the restraints put in place to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus. In response, all county departments have been asked to cut spending by 20 percent, and those department heads have released their budget cut recommendations.

Commission President Denise Driehaus says these furloughs were an absolute last resort.

As part of the budge cuts, county commissioners will take a 10 percent pay cut.
