A Cincinnati Police Officer Tests Positive for COVID19

The City of Cincinnati is closing down the District 3 police station in Westwood. The department has its first confirmed Covid-19 patient, an officer assigned to District 3.

Chief Elliot Isaac says the officer is experiencing mild symptoms and is in good spirits, quarantined at home. The District 3 police station on Ferguson has been closed so that crews can come in and do a deep cleaning and decontaminate the offices.

The Chief says the city will continue to provide the highest level of police services throughout this pandemic but says they must emphasize once more the importance of social distancing and the steps that need to be taken as a society and as a department to keep his officers safe --- so they can keep the public safe.
