(Cincinnati) -- Kroger is hiring workers as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, with some positions starting within the next 24-to-48 hours.
Kroger says they'll be more than happy to hire people who were working in the restaurant and hospitality industries who might be out of work as bars, restaurants and businesses close for at least a few weeks to stop the spread of the illness.
Spokeswoman Erin Rofles says jobs can be found on Kroger's website. She says the company wants to make sure that workers can take care of their kids as schools and day cares close across the state.
She says the company will try to place workers at store that isn't too far of a drive from their home.
