Indiana Governor Closing Bars, Restaurants, One Death Confirmed

COVID-19

(Indianapolis) -- Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb is closing all bars and restaurants in the state to fight the spread of COVID-19. These establishments are to remain closed through the end of the month.

One person in Indiana has died from the illness. Governor Holcomb says the person was over 60-years-old and considered at high-risk. He says this person would not have died if they didn't have COVID-19.

Health officials in Indiana say it's now clear there's community spread of the illness and that this person's death can't be traced back to travel.
