DeWine: I'm Filing Suit To Have The Primary Election Moved to June 2

Governor Mike DeWine

(Columbus) -- Governor Mike DeWine is recommending postponing tomorrow's primary election until June 2nd.

He says he plans to file a lawsuit and requesting absentee voting continue until then.

DeWine says the decision is hard, but the state also needs to look out for poll workers. The votes that have already been cast will be counted.

Lt. Governor Jon Husted says it's not fair to make people choose between health and their right to vote.

Voters can still vote by mail.
