Northern Kentucky University named most gay-friendly in the Tristate

N-K-U has been picked as the most gay friendly University in the Tristate. Northern Kentucky University scored a perfect five of five in the Campus Pride Index ranking schools based on their inclusiveness.

N-K-U was awarded the top rating because of inclusive housing options for LGBTQA+ students as well as its Name change procedure. Any student at NKU may change their name, pronouns, and gender identity on university records, regardless of legal name. To learn more about how N-K-U achieved the perfect score, click here.

The University of Cincinnati received 4.5 stars in the report, penalized Campus Pride says for not training campus police on sexual orientation issues. Xavier was given 3 stars. Campus Pride says the XU rating was lower because it does not allow students the option to self identify sexual orientation on admission applications or post enrollment forms.
