Local Charity Mobilizing to Help Tennessee Tornado Victims

A local charity is working with Proctor and Gamble and Cintas to help the victims of the tornadoes in Tennessee. Trucks carrying personal care products and cleaning supplies are on their way to the hardest hit areas.

Matthew 25: Ministries put out this news release to explain how they are responding:

Matthew 25: Ministries is responding to devastating tornadoes that tore through Nashville and the surrounding region late Monday evening and early Tuesday morning. Tornadoes were reported along a 145-mile stretch, leaving behind severe damage to homes and other buildings across several counties. As many as 50,000 people were without power as a result of the storm. The Cookeville area in Putnam County was especially hard hit, suffering a majority of the fatalities.

Matthew 25: Ministries’ Disaster Response Team will deploy on Wednesday, March 4 to provide relief services throughout the affected areas.
