FC-Cincinnati Head Coach Accused of Using Racial Slur

Just weeks until the 2020-21 Major League soccer season begins, FC Cincinnati Head Coach Ron Jans is being investigated by MLS and the Players Association after he was accused of using a racial slur during preseason camp in Florida.

The Athletic reported this week that Jans allegedly used the n-word in front of a group of players earlier this week.

It is not known if it was directed at an individual or several players.

Jans was hired by FC Cincinnati in August 2019 and his contract runs through the end of the 2020 calendar year.

He was stepped away from his duties as head coach as the league and players union investigate.
