(Cincinnati, OH) - Starting this spring, Allegiant Airlines will be offering a new flight out of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. The airline announced this morning: a new non-stop route from CVG to Memphis. Flights will start on May 22nd and to celebrate, they're going to be offering introductory fares as low as $55.
Via Enquire.com, Allegiant Vice President of Planning and Revenue, Drew Wells said, "Cincinnati residents continue to be great supporters of our service and we are excited to offer them this new route to experience the sound of blues and the taste of world-famous barbecue."

Allegiant's goal is connecting leisure travelers in underserved cities to popular destinations around the country. Most of the forty-four new routes are non-competitive, with no other airline providing service between those airports.
USA TODAY reported that the seasonal flights are aimed at vacationers, Allegiant's bread and butter. Each will be offered twice a week. Unlike its larger competitors, which offer daily service between cities, Allegiant generally flies each route just a couple times a week.
