Vice Mayor Wants 'Gang Of Five' To Repay Legal Fees

Cincinnati

(Cincinnati) - Cincinnati Vice Mayor Chris Smitherman still wants five city council members to pay the city back for defending them during an investigation into secret text messages.

Smitherman introduced a motion today to the Law and Public Safety Committee to bring this issue back to their agenda, after trying to do the same last year without making any progress.

He says Tamaya Dennard, Greg Landsman, Chris Seelbach, P.G. Sittenfeld and Wendell Young all owe tax payers $176,000. The group admitted to violating open meetings laws last year for having a secret text message chain.
