(Cincinnati) - Cincinnati Bell says today that it will acquired by Canadian company Brookfield Infrastructure in a deal that's worth $2.6 billion.
The Toronto-based firm and Cincinnati Bell expect the deal to close by the end of next year. More than 1.3 million homes use the service throughout its coverage network, which also includes Hawaii. The company offers internet, telephone and cable services.
It is currently working to upgrade the fiber used in its services.
