Sheriff calls it one of the most severe cases of canine abuse he has seen.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones is asking for help from the public finding the owner of a neglected dog.

Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports on Monday December 09, 2019, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Dog Wardens responded to Millikin Woods Park, located at N. Washington Blvd. to pick up a female Pit Bull/Boxer. The canine’s condition was severely emaciated with abscess on her tail. Canine had to be euthanized due to her severe condition and suffering. A microchip was located on the canine and our Dog Wardens are waiting to hear back from the veterinarian for any leads. We are reaching out to anyone that may recognize this canine that would lead us to her owner.

For further information, please contact Dog Warden Jamie Hearlihy @ 513- 887-7297.

“This is one of the most severe canine cases of neglect that we have seen in this county and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office will continue the fight against such neglect and seek justice for this beautiful animal,” states Sheriff Jones.
