"A total disregard for human life"

( Cincinnati ) - A Hamilton County grand jury has handed down a murder indictment for 18-year-old Brian Holmes (pictured). He's accused of firing the shots that killed 25-year-old Rashad Shahid outside of Northwest High School last week.

A juvenile co-defendant is also facing charges. It was apparently an on-going argument between the co-defendant and another Northwest student that led to the incident that ended when police say Holmes pulled out a gun and began firing. Another student was wounded, and Shahid was later found dead in his car.

Assistant Hamilton County prosecutor Stacey Degraffenreid says a man is dead over a high school argument. She calls it a total disregard for human life. Holmes is facing life in prison if convicted.
