Rita Newcomb's jury selection and trial has been postponed, just as the jury was gathering in the courtroom. The mother of one of the Rhoden family murder suspects now has a third trial date, after two previous postponements.
Last week the judge denied a prosecutor's request for a delay on new evidence.
This morning, both parties agreed to the delay "in the interest of justice." The summoned prospective jurors sent home.
Newcomb's new date in court is December 2nd at 1 pm.
Newcomb is charged with forging custody documents for her grandson who had a child with one of the murder victims. Police say their custody battle was the reason for the killings in 2016 in Pike County, Ohio.
