Two people were shot and killed at the Hampton Inn right off 71 at Montgomery Road, Friday night. Police believe the shooting happened during an attempted robbery during a dice game involving several people. Video from inside the hotel room before the shooting has surfaced showing several people gambling with cash laid on the floor and across the bed.
The victims of the murders are 20 year old Taymar Jones and 15 year old JaQuan Howard. A vigil for the teen was held over the weekend in Over the Rhine where he lived. The uncle of Howard tells 9 News the teen just got caught up, "hanging with the wrong crowd in the wrong area at the wrong time".
