Hamilton County Drug Agents stop a semi packed with cocaine.

The Hamilton County Regional Narcotics Unit is reporting a major drug bust. Sheriff Jim Neal says over 40 pounds of cocaine has been seized as part of an under cover investigation.The cocaine has a street value of $1.7 million and there is more.

A news release from the Hamilton County Sheriffs Department says they also seized property and cash:

"The investigation led to the execution of multiple search warrants throughout Hamilton County and the arrest of five individuals. This operation was conducted with the assistance of Homeland Security Investigations, Cincinnati Police Department, Green Township Police Department, and the Cheviot Police Department. Agents seized approximately 40 pounds of cocaine as well as over $100,000 dollars in assets derived from the drug trafficking activities of these individuals. Also several handguns were taken off the streets."
