Police: Teen Shoots Teen in Oxford Drug Deal Gone Bad

( Oxford, Ohio ) - One teen accused of shooting another as part of a drug deal: that's how police describe the incident officers were called to this past Sunday afternoon on College Corner Pike.

Responding officers say they found a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. That teen was transported to McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital, but was ultimately flown by medical helicopter to UC Medical Center.

Investigators say the teen was shot by 18-year-old Benjamin Hizer (pictured). Those two allegedly tried to rob a third male in the course of a drug deal, and during that attempt, Hizer allegedly fired a small-caliber gun, hitting the 17-year-old.

Police say Hizer is now charged with aggravated robbery, and additional charges are likely. No word yet if the other two males will be charged.
