Bus/car crash injures unbuckled motorists

Twelve people, including two juveniles, are injured after a crash involving a Metro bus in Evanston Saturday morning.

The crash happened on Blair Avenue and Montgomery Road around 11:45 a.m.

Police say Brandon Keese was driving a Chevrolet Malibu north on Montgomery Road, went left of the center and hit a Queen City Metro bus. Keese was taken to UC Medical Center in critical condition and its unclear if he was buckled up.

Bus driver Angela Thompson and seven passengers were transported to UC Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Keese's passenger, Dionyssus Bronaugh, was injured and sent to the hospital in serious condition. Also in the car, two children in the back seats who were not wearing seat belts suffered critical injuries and rushed to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Police do not believe speeding or impairment were factors in the crash.

The Cincinnati Police are investigating the crash and would like to talk with any witnesses by calling the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
